Substack Dashboard Day Is Coming!
Because obviously, your back-end settings don't have a simple on/off switch.
How many of you showed up on Substack your first day and thought you could just sit down, write some stuff, and make some dough?
But the minute you created a profile, the “system” slapped you with a mile-long checklist that mostly left you with a glazed-over look and thoughts of, “Nope. Not today.”
A toaster has two settings: Too Soon and Too Late.
Substack is not a toaster.
It feels like the word “stack” in Substack represents all the back-end stuff you let pile up because your dashboard makes you feel like…..
Let’s UNSTACK that pile once and for all. Together. In just a couple of hours.
What is Substack Dashboard Day?
It’s a date where I'm setting aside my time to help you plow through your dashboard settings one by one, starting from the top and working our way down to completion.
The date is Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. EST, and this is your official invitation to join me LIVE on Zoom.
Who is Dashboard Day for?
This is a group session for anyone who feels like they need a complete run-through to optimize their Substack settings.
Whether you’re brand new and need a jumpstart or you’ve been here a while but you’ve kept much of your setup on the back burner. This day is for you.
I have done enough of these run-throughs one-on-one with Substackers to know that the general outcome afterward is RELIEF. Think of it like house cleaning day, except this only has to happen ONE time, not every week (Do people still clean house every week?)
What will we be covering?
This two-hour session will cover everything in our dashboard settings, starting from the BASICS at the very top and finishing at the DANGER ZONE at the very bottom (have you even scrolled far enough to know there’s a big red danger zone?)
We will go over what each setting is for, whether or not you need certain ones, and why you should or shouldn’t use each setting.
The first 60-75 minutes will be me screen-sharing the run-through while you feverishly scribble scientific formulas in your notebook. The remainder of the session will be live Q&A time which I feel will be SO valuable. Your cohorts may come up with questions you didn’t even know you had.
Although I have scheduled the session for two hours, if we have any stragglers at the end who want a bit more time, I’m happy to stay on and answer more questions. I just bought myself a new office chair so I can sit extra long now. 💺
Last but not least, the session will be recorded and sent out afterwards to all those who attended.
I realize it sounds intensive. But trust me, once you’ve got your knobs and dials all SET, you’ll feel so much better about your journey forward.
If you need a glass or two of wine to get through this, by all means, indulge! We won’t judge you 😋 And I will not be wearing makeup so I expect you not to judge me.
NOTE: We are only running through settings. We will not be deciphering the Da Vinci Code of dashboard stats. That’s a whole different beast.
I was worried that Substack Dashboard Day was some newfangled holiday where we all had to post dashboard snapshots or something.
Thank the dogs it’s only a gruelling how-to seminar where stackers will be forced to learn stuff while drinking beverages, followed by an invaluable replay video that will teach them enough to keep their Substacks from becoming a mess of incoherent, incomplete entropy on the backend.
Just signed up ❤️
