Three Simple Ways To Bring People From Your Website To Your Substack
All three options look great, the choice yours!
Today, I’m demonstrating three very easy ways to make sure your website visitors know about and arrive at your Substack. All three are distinctly different and all are equally as attractive.
I’m using my Written by Kristi website to showcase the first two ways.
Option #1
Use the custom embed code Substack provides you.
You’ll find it in your dashboard » settings » then type “growth” in the searchbox on the left sidebar. Scroll down a bit in the growth section and you’ll find a heading called “Embeddable Subscribe Button” with an iframe code below it.
Hit the copy button and paste the code into a code block on your Squarespace or Wordpress website and it’ll come out looking like this:
Your website visitors can then insert their email address and subscribe instantly, without ever leaving your website.
Option #2
Create your own beautifully customized block with a clickable button image on your website. The example below is on my website homepage and I created the button easily in Canva. Then, I inserted a hyperlink leading back to my Substack.
Whenever someone clicks on that wooden button, they arrive at my main Substack, Wildhood Wanted.
Option #3
The third super simple way to lead website visitors to your Substack is covered in this post I wrote last year. If you’re new here, you may have missed it.
A Simple Way To Tie Your Substack And Your Website Together
Do you have a website? If so, which came first…your website or your Substack? Regardless, if you have both, you’ve probably wondered what the best way is to tie them together.
And there you have it. Have you used any of these options to bring website visitors directly to your Substack? If not, do you plan to now?
Appreciate you sharing all these tips and tricks!
I had already done this, but went down the rabbit hole with your previous posts to figure out how to post links to my website on my Substack page (figured it out, even with the new dashboard). Thx! Do you still recommend using the term "Blog" (rather than Substack) to link directly to Substack on our websites?
