You know a big reason to put up testimonials? The commenters love them too. Because you are Advertising them. They get to see their name on your website, as well as the great stuff they wrote for you. It's a great example for a win win situation.
This has always been at the top of my mind too. Anytime I ask for a testimonial I always tell them I'll include a link back to wherever they wish to be found. Total win win.
This is a fantastic idea. I've been using a great review I received on Amazon to promote one of my books! There's really no one better to help encourage new readers to explore your work than another reader who has already done so, and loved the experience... 😎
Wow. This is one of those pieces which made me wonder - "Why didn't I think of it?"
I discovered you only a few min back, Kristi. Since then, I've been devouring everything that you've written. Special mention: Unstack Substack has my heart ❤️
Hey Kristi - I've seen some welcome pages that have 3 testimonials listed across the bottom of the page. Do you know how these are added and what makes them show up? Here's an example. https://www.readtheprofile.com/
Rick, it can be turned on in your dashboard under the recommendations tab. Click on manage recommendations and scroll down, you'll see where you can add up to 3 on your homepage.
Hey! Where do you put your testimonials? You can just steal that whole note I wrote for you if that works
I already did! I have a page on my website called Kudos. I posted it there with a link back to yours, thank you!!
My page is called "Who reads your work, Paul".
That's a cool label for testimonials!

Exactly! 🙌
Great advice. Would subscribers have to seek out these testimonials? Are they best put in a category?
I would say you could create a page and copy/paste them onto the page. Put that page into your navigation bar so it's easy to find!
