How to Personalize Your Posts With a Fancy Signature
Plus a FREE template to create your own.
This week, we’re keeping it light and casual.
No tech tips to interrupt your Saturday with brain work because sometimes, weekend thinking hurts. 😁
Instead, I’m here to give you a FREEBIE that’ll spice up your Substack with a beautiful personal touch.
Today, I’m featuring Tales of a Wayward Yogini by
. Sue and I have worked together for a long time, and she always comes up with the most creative ideas for me to implement in her Substack. Also, I regularly sift through our Ask Anything posts to see which topics come up repeatedly. Custom graphics are always a hot one.
Custom signatures & headings (and a template to create your own)
If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, I highly encourage you to visit Sue’s round-up post (below). Take a moment to scroll from top to bottom, and you’ll notice her beautiful section headers and signature at the end.
Stunning, right?
Sue came up with the heading text she wanted, and I created them for her in Canva.
Here’s an example signature I whipped up for this post:
And here’s a sample section heading:
Click the button below to access the Canva template for both layouts. There, you can change the font style and color and customize the text.
And here’s a quick video tutorial I created in case you’re not familiar with using Canva.
One more thing: If you can’t be bothered creating a Canva account and tweaking these templates yourself, just let me know, and I can create them for you. 😊
The graphic section dividers do look nice. A few things to keep in mind with fancy section title images: keep the texts in the images readable, and provide alt text on the images for screen readers. Also, unless other texts are used for section headers, it also keeps Substack from being able to provide an outline for readers.
Thank you, Kristi, for highlighting Tales of a Wayward Yogini. If I do say so myself, my site is looking pretty awesome thanks in large part to your help. I joke often that tech is not my strong suit. I'm beyond grateful to be able to shoot an email off to you, and within a short time (allowing for schedules) receive the artwork to add to my site. It's such fun.
