Absolutely. That's 100% what I use!

Hi! I'm interested, but wondering if they are easy to set up? Or would I have to go via Stipe or whatever it's called each time I post (which is why I don't put one up, I'm not tech savvy and it's taken me ages to figure it out each time I've tried and I've never been sure it works). If I could just have one that linked to Paypal or even Stipe without messing around...I'm rambling here but you know what I mean! Let me know! Thanks, Francesca

Francesca, I’m just about to head into teaching my workshop so don’t have time right now, but if you send me a DM as a reminder I can explain it to you in a way you’ll understand.

Thanks Janet 😊 I have a draft idea for your branding I'll be emailing over to you tomorrow, just to see if I'm on the right track.

Fabulous, thanks Kristi

Yes, yes, I'm just recently discovering that SS can be the doorway to the other levels of my business interests!!!! So delighted I got involved here.

Another thought.....I thought SS frowned on taking readers away from the platform.

How do this offer factor in? Thank you

Substack doesn't provide any other way for writers to sell their goods so what can they say about it?

What you said sounds a lot more like Facebook and Instagram to me lol. They block Substack links.

Wow, how clever Kristi! I've learned so much about technology navigation for SS through your articles......but still floundering in some areas. I'll be on the list for this very soon. Again, thank you for your creative mind and offers!

You're smart! Clever. Intuitive. And, did I mention, SMART, Kristi?

I'm giving you a virtual, soul-soothing hug πŸ€—

The CTA images that are funny, cute, or thought-provoking result in higher conversions. πŸ™Œ

Sitting here pecking on my phone, I heard in my head, "Yes, BUT, what do I really desire to convert?"

That, my friend, is the question. So I have two questions for you, Kristi:

What do you believe substackers biggest need/want/desire is, and what is the one thing that is holding them back from accomplishing that? 🎯

Expand full comment

I think that desire is different for everyone so I can't really comment on that! Probably the top two are community and compensation?

Sounds spot on... Building a tribe and ditching the imposter syndrome!

I like the one featuring coach… something similar that shows what I write about and my photo to personalize… ( hate those Orange/green/black circles ) I’d us it for paid subscribing rather than just a link or the annoying Substack advertising stuck in the middle of our essays…longer it is, more they pop up! Not too tacky to use in this way is it? Friendly and eye catching, maybe generate more paying readers? Do I send you $ and my info first, then we discuss? Thanks Kristi… you’re amazing! 😊❀️

Yes ma'am, you can purchase anytime and then I'll email you to discuss your design. Keep in mind, I don't work on weekends 😁

Got it! I’ll think it thru and be in touch…thanks for replying, busy lady! 😊

Thanks Janet!

So clever! It really does make the CTAs more inviting!

Especially if you want to say something more than just β€œbuy my book” or β€œlisten to my podcast” lol.

Q: Is it best to put a CTA at the bottom of a post than at the top or in the middle? Curious.

Wherever you like! I have one client who asks me to put them in multiple times throughout her posts.

Cool, thank you so much!

I have never thought of having a tip jar on my site. However I did just tip the guy who creates a free astrological calendar. So I just proved to myself the tipping jar works. Great article @Kristi Keller

It does work! I love having the ability to surprise someone else!

I always thought I knew Substack inside out but clearly not. I used to keep looking for a way to add links under image options (where you add a caption) and it never struck me that there could be another way to do that. Thanks for sharing!
