I actually found the "custom theme" setting when I started out, but I was in a rush (so MANY things to configure!) and I didn't know about some of those things you mention.

It came out of a whirlwind a few years ago, really stresses me out every month (and in between). Cuz I'm already "past" retirement age, but got nuttin' to show for it....except massive debt that's outta control ...]😱

Your gray bar looks good but you might consider shortening the message a bit. Try looking at your site on mobile to see if all that text displays correctly.
Thanks, I have taken a look and implemented (I think) - am also building up to launching a second publication, perhaps a paid for fictional home for more creative ramblings away from my free mentalist blog work - any advice or help much appreciated as I feel like I’m on the brink of a Jekyll and Hyde moment……
Lol well I'm the queen of multiple personalities here, with 3 Substacks!! Best piece of advice? Pace yourself!! It can be a lot to keep up with if you plan to write weekly.
The good thing is you have the experience of already starting one stack so you can implement what you've learned at the new one.

I love this idea but my branding section is totally different and I don’t seem to have the same customization options!
Branding is a different area than homepage customization. Did you click in the right place?
