This is hilarious for me as I spent hours the other day trying to figure out why people were subscribing to my author page and not my (only) publication. I eventually figured out what you said in this article and fixed the problem, by switching to my publication.

However now it seems I have another problem: I've somehow created a second publication that is just my author page but as a publication? I have no idea how I did this or how to get rid of it. Which is what created the issue in the first place. Hmmmm...

Oh wow. I don't know what to tell you on that one. It's 845am on a Sunday and I haven't finished my first coffee yet 😁

Alas, Vellum is only available for Mac. It looks like a good tool.

Sooo good and helpful Kristi! I can’t wait to chat with you more about multiple ‘stacks!

I’m traveling yet again this weekend and look forward to next weekend’s class and getting our chats on the books. 🦋

Definitely see you at the workshop and yes...when you're back from traveling let's nail down another coffee date. I miss chatting with you!!

Is there a way to edit order of the additional publications or are they always shown in order of creation date? Thanks.

Hmmm that's a really good question. I just switched them around a few times to test your question and it appears it'll always be in the order they were created. But I'd love for someone with more than 3 to test it out as well. I wonder if there are people with more than 3?

I love that you show us the things the Substack powers that be think we should know but make it hard to figure out on our own. I wanted to add to this conversation that I switch publications once in a while because people will subscribe from reading my notes and it ensures I get equal love for both my pubs.

Jennie I'm so glad you enjoy these simple tips. And what you're doing is brilliant 👏 Honestly, I had never thought of it that way but it's so smart having both your pubs get equal support.

That reminded me of a post I did many months ago about mentioning each pub in each other's welcome emails. Here's the link if you missed it...

I would love to catch a replay of the makeover class—it’s the kids’ Halloween parade 10/26

I will be recording it so I'll think about how I can offer it to those who can't make the live one. 😊

I find things confusing throughout- some things can be on my phone app yet the things I want to do I have to go to my laptop.

Or I am really missing things on my phone and I just don’t see them with my tired old eyes.

DJ, it's true the app and laptop are totally different. We can't change that, unfortunately. You would see this on the web version on your phone but not via the app.

I conclude we must do this on our computer as I don’t see this option on iPhone either

Thanks for the confirmation!

Well... I go to the foot of our stairs! I never knew you could do that. I only have the one Substack, but at some point in the future it may be worth uncoupling sections (I have 3 on H A G) and giving them their own 'Stack, so that is so handy to know, thank you!💕
