Paperbell does have its appeal, for sure. However, I've been on Podia for nearly 5 years now and can't imagine migrating to another platform, but if I were just starting out, I think Paperbell would be a great place.
On another note ... I do see that this is a conversation for COACHES who also happen to be on Substack. Kristi, maybe this is a question for you, or for anyone else out there: how do you use Substack to host, or promote, or leverage your coaching business?
I have a 12-month high-ticket coaching program that I would like to integrate into my Substack and have no idea where to begin. Who's been successful at this? Show us what you got!
That's a big question! It's midnight so let me tackle this one during daylight hours. Also, might be a great question for my Ask Anything post that comes out Friday morning.
I’ve had my own coaching website for a while, but I am very familiar with Paperbell. If I were coaching someone on how to get set up for coaching I would definitely recommend them. I visit there website time and time again for their fantastic articles and resources. I 100% agree with this recommendation!
Very interesting — without even looking at it, I imagine it could be used for any number of services besides just coaching (e.g. “done-for-you” services, freelance writing, etc.) I’ll check it out.
Just me here scanning the comments to see all the recs 🤩 this looks like such a great option! I began on Shopify 10 years ago when I only sold products and then recently built a whole new website + Calendly for booking + Square for contracts and payments...while thinking of adding Kajabi for courses and community. If you know the pain, you know the pain. This looks simple and easy. A perfect match for Substack ~happy sigh~ Thank you so much for sharing!
Lucy! I'm SO glad you found this helpful. I gotta say, when I was searching I ran into all the things you've mentioned. The confusion is enough to prevent people from actually starting!! It's such a great option.
Wow - I just had a quick look and it seems pretty simple and straightforward. I am training to be a coach at the mo' so will keep it on my radar. Thanks for sharing 🌹
I don't think they should. That's not the reason Substack was born. It's a writing platform at its core. But it's nice to have options that can run in tandem with it. 😊
I'm not "advertising" for anyone, just being helpful.
Substack has been a writing platform from day one. I can’t see it ever implementing the robust tools that coaches need to operate. It was never meant to be that.
TY. Just signed up for free account to start. I loved Meet Edgar years ago. Same founder. Excited to consolidate my coaching biz. Thanks for the great tip and helpful advice

Thank you for all these tips Kristi. They come at the right time.

This is great to hear! I've enjoyed using them so far as well!

I guess it absolutely could! I hadn't thought of it for anything but coaching but I'm sure it could be versatile.

Wow, Kristi!
How'd you know?!
This is exactly what I needed, and right when I need it!
Thanks!
I'm gonna vote for you!
(If/when you ever run for anything!) 😘
Ya-ha! 🤪
LOL!!! The universe knows things! Just call me "universe" from now on 😂😂
And thank you...right now you can just give me a vote of confidence. I'll let you know if I run for something bigger in the future!
I was impressed with a trial of Upcoach. I’m not ready to launch into coaching yet. But I’ll seriously consider it when I’m ready.
Looks amazing!
Thank you for this! Looking forward to checking it out. 👀
You’re welcome!! I think I’m actually going to bite the bullet myself and finally do it!😂
Interesting--I'm using Pensight, which is an all in one platform, but still have my Wordpress site. I'm not opposed to letting Wordpress go
Hmmm I've never heard of Pensight. Googling now. It's so interesting how many different platforms are out there and what people prefer using.

You're welcome! And all the best success with your training 😊
Substack should provide something like this on their website.

Plenty of coaches on this website. You get paid commission for advertising for them right? Well of course that's your response.

Thank you so much. Just joined up and excited to see where it takes me :)
So awesome!! I hope it takes you somewhere faster than my pace lol.

You're welcome, Cara. I didn't know it was the same founder as Meet Edgar. Interesting stuff! Best wishes on your coaching journey 😊
Thank you for this!!
