Oh wow, thank you for that hint. I am just collecting tips to start my own newsletter. There is still a lot more to do, but that hint is absolutely worth to give it a heart.
i was already using it since the day i released my first nwsl, but, i really dont like the examples shown here, they are too noisy and overwhelming for me. Hence, mine is peaceful and simple. But honestly, i dont think this made any difference for my readers. It just looks more beautiful and my chosen logo (a rooted tree) speaks for itself, but other than that its a bit useless. As a reader myself of other newsletters, i am rarely impressed by the banner and more by the quality of the content. If the banner is stunning but the content of the email is useless, i unsubcribe.
Thanks for telling us more about ways to do this and the details on Canva. I attempted it once but didn’t quite know how to do this, so I gave up for “now.” Maybe I will give it another whirl. Thanks!!
Thanks for the fantastic advice!
My pleasure, Scott!

Damn that never crossed my mind. Thanks for this. Learning makes living easy.
How marvellous. Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve been ignoring it!

Thanks for your perspective, Daniela.
I used it in text form. The image banner is coming soon.
I missed this when it came out the first time because September was nuts! Thanks so much!!
My pleasure, Donna!
Why are all the good things so obvious?! Thanks for the reminder!
HA!! For the same reason that all the delicious things are so fattening.
I'd rather grow old than become an adult. All adults carry anger. Only children and the elderly laugh freely.

Does this only work when the posts are viewed through a readers inbox, and not through the substack app?
Yes it's only the email banner
Thank you Kristi! I definitely did not know this one 😅
You're very welcome!
SO helpful! Plus I loved seeing Pilar's banner. She is a good one thru and thru.
Yes she is!! Plus, I’ve got hair envy for her hahahaa. I love her hair!
Totally! She totally inspired me to go silver last year. And I haven't looked back!
It's so beautiful.
Tell us more :)
Incredibly helpful!

I love this bit of advice. I hadn't thought to create an email header until reading your article, Kristi.
That's awesome, Rodney. Enjoy getting creative with it 😊
I will
